By Car from Hartford and points north:
Interstate 91 South, exit 22 to Route 9 South. At exit 15, turn right onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Follow the signs to Wesleyan.
You will go left on High Street, travel past Wesleyan's College Row (old classic buildings) on your right. Go across Church Street (traffic light), take next right, onto Lawn Avenue. Go about 1 block uphill, the entrance is on your right, adjacent to the greenhouse and loading dock. See directions for parking below.
By Car from New Haven, New York and points south:
Interstate 91 North, exit 18 to Route 691/66 East - or - the Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15 North), exit 68 to Route 691/66 east. Route 66 becomes Washington Street in Middletown. Follow the signs to Wesleyan.

By Car from Boston and points northeast:
Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) West to Interstate 84 West to Hartford. Exit 57 to Interstate 91 South, exit 22 to Route 9 South. At exit 15 turn right onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Follow the signs to Wesleyan. - OR -- Interstate 95 South through Providence, exit 69 to Route 9 North (approximately 26 miles.) At exit 15 turn left onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Follow the signs to Wesleyan.
You will go left on High Street, travel past Wesleyan's College Row (old classic buildings) on your right. Go across Church Street (traffic light), take next right, onto Lawn Avenue. Go about 1 block uphill, the entrance is on your right, adjacent to the greenhouse and loading dock. See directions for parking below.
Lawn Ave. (marked in red on map below) is just south of Church St . You should be able to park along Lawn Ave. or side streets. You can enter Hall-Atwater (red building on map) near the loading dock, which is near the greenhouse at the top of the hill (Hall-Atwater and Shanklin are conjoined buildings). This will bring you into the 1st floor. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, go left out of the elevator and then immediately left again. Straight down the hall you will pass the Biology departmental office (room 257 Hall-Atwater, they can direct you to where you need to go), and then pass into Shanklin. Keep going past the dead birds, take the elevator on your left up one floor. My office (Shanklin 306) is immediately adjacent to the elevator.
If you can't park along Lawn Ave., there is additional parking in V Lot on Vine St.:
-Take Church St. away from the river (uphill) to Vine Street.
-Turn right onto Vine St.
-Park in V Lot on the left, near tennis courts.
-Leaving parking lot, walk to your right to Church St.
-Turn left onto Church St.
The Science Tower (which connects to Shanklin ) is the large building on the corner of Church and Pine St. Enter the Science Tower and walk towards the river (in the direction that would be downhill).
